Apple to launch Siri speaker at WWDC

A new report from renowned KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo (via 9to5Mac) suggests that Apple is preparing to launch a smart speaker powered by Apple’s intelligent assistant Siri at this year’s Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, taking place on June 5-9 in San Jose, California.

Kuo suggests that while the speaker will launch at WWDC in June, it won’t be available to purchase until the second half of 2017.
The analyst also notes that Apple’s speaker is expected to feature seven tweeters and a sub-woofer, and will cost more than rival Amazon’s speaker Echo.
